SportsZone Batting Cages
Get your swings in at Waterloo’s most convenient batting cage setup. Our enclosed cages operate on a simple token system and are available for drop-in use during store hours. Whether you’re training for the season or just having fun, we’ve got you covered.
How It Works
- No bookings required — just drop in during store hours
- Purchase tokens at the front counter
- Each token gives you approximately 24 pitches
- Enter the cage and toggle your pitch type on the machine
- Let our staff know if there’s ever a jam or issue — we’ll help right away
Choose Your Side
- Left Cage (Blue Side): Toggle between Slowpitch lob and Slow Hardball (approx. 40 mph)
- Right Cage (Red Side): Toggle between Fastpitch (45–50 mph) and Fast Hardball (approx. 55–60 mph)
- Maximum of 1 participants per side at a time
What to Bring
- Helmets are mandatory — loaner helmets are available at no cost
- Bring your own bat or borrow one from us (not every size/weight available)
- Closed-toe athletic footwear is required

Seasonal Info
Our cages are currently closed for the season. We expect to reopen in early May 2025, weather permitting. All sessions are first come, first served during regular store hours.

- Enclosed outdoor setup located at the back of the store
- Open during SportsZone’s regular business hours
Batting Cage Rules and Safety
- Helmets must be worn at all times while in the cage
- No swinging bats outside the cage area
- Maximum of 2 users per cage — 1 per side
- Only use bats provided or approved personal bats
- Stay clear of the pitching machines at all times
- No roughhousing or reckless activity permitted
- Wait for the previous group to exit before entering
- Machines are older and may occasionally jam — notify staff for help
- Use the cages at your own risk
