01

Check length with skates on

Stand upright with the blade on the ice. Chin-to-nose is the normal starting zone; forwards often go shorter and defencemen often go longer.

02

Use body weight for starting flex

Start near half body weight in pounds. Young or lighter players often benefit from slightly less flex so they can load the shaft.

01 Overview

Overview

The TRUE Catalyst NITRO Intermediate Hockey Stick (2026) is built around SMARTFLEX AI, an adaptive flex profile designed to load consistently across different hand positions and shot types. A balanced weight profile delivers the power and control associated with a mid-kick while keeping the stick light and responsive.

The SRT-D blade adds a next-generation dampening layer to TRUE’s strategic rib design, reducing unwanted vibration while preserving responsiveness for smoother first touches, cleaner passes, and better puck control. A square-corner concave shaft with gloss grip and textured raised elements provides a secure, connected feel in the hands.
